Our Recovery Model

Structure. Accountability. Community.

Not treatment. Not a shelter. A structured place to rebuild.

Important to Know

Not treatment. Not a shelter.

Flawed BUT Favored provides recovery housing, not clinical treatment. We do not provide detox, therapy, medical care, psychiatric care, or licensed substance-use treatment. Adults who need clinical care should access those services first. Our role is a safe, stable, structured residential environment that supports continued recovery.

How It Works

Peer-supported. Resident-accountable.

Flawed BUT Favored operates on an abstinence-based, peer-support model. Residents are members of a household who support one another and uphold clear expectations together.

The home provides clear expectations, shared responsibility, and peer accountability. This structure supports adults as they rebuild stability, independence, and connection.

Shared living is part of the model. Community is not incidental — it is the point. Living alongside others who are doing the same work creates meaningful daily accountability.

The Standard

What living here requires.

Complete sobriety

No alcohol or non-prescribed substances. Sobriety is non-negotiable.

Active employment

Residents are required to pursue and maintain employment. Work is part of rebuilding a life.

House meeting participation

Regular house meetings are required. Residents govern the household together.

Mutual respect

Every resident is treated with dignity. Every resident is expected to extend the same to others.

Personal responsibility

Residents are expected to manage their responsibilities, contribute to the household, and take an active role in rebuilding independence.

Why It Works

Housing is the foundation. Recovery is the journey.

Stable, structured housing can support continued recovery, employment, personal responsibility, and successful community reintegration.

Flawed BUT Favored is built around that understanding. Clear expectations, peer accountability, and a real home — not treatment, not a shelter. A structured place where the work of recovery has room to happen.
