Founder, Flawed BUT Favored LLC
Her Story
Lacresha Roberts founded R.E.A.P. Transitional Housing Inc., an Indiana nonprofit serving young adults aging out of foster care and veterans. Flawed BUT Favored LLC was established around the same time as the engine that supports that nonprofit mission.
Flawed BUT Favored LLC is preparing abstinence-based, peer-support recovery housing for adults in DFW, Texas. Twenty percent of Flawed BUT Favored proceeds will support R.E.A.P. The Chiefs Palace is a DBA of Flawed BUT Favored LLC, created in honor of her grandfather, Paul Bernard Culpepper.
Paul was known for calling everyone "Chief." His daughter, Patches Culpepper, inspired the name The Chiefs Palace in his honor. The Chiefs Palace is a future veteran-focused recovery residence planned for Michigan City / La Porte County, Indiana and is not currently accepting residents.

Paul Bernard Culpepper came home from the Army and spent the rest of his life building things — a career at the United States Postal Service that spanned 26 years, a directorship at the Elite Youth Center, a church he pastored himself, and a family he poured into.
He called everyone Chief — because he saw the rank in every person he met. That simple act of recognition — the belief that every person carries dignity worth honoring — shaped the woman Lacresha became and the mission she built.
Paul gave his life to service — in uniform, at the post office, in the community, and in the church. He saw the worth in every person he met, and that legacy continues to inspire Lacresha’s commitment to dignity, service, and recovery housing.

Patches is a founding member of the first chartered Alpha Kappa Alpha chapter in La Porte County. She has spent her life in service to her community and raised Lacresha on the same values her father gave her. The name of this house was her idea.

Lacresha is building Flawed BUT Favored LLC from the values her family gave her: belief in people, service to the community, and a commitment to helping adults rebuild with dignity.

R.E.A.P. and Flawed BUT Favored LLC are legally, financially, and operationally separate organizations. The Chiefs Palace operates as a DBA of Flawed BUT Favored LLC and honors Paul Culpepper’s legacy.
